Written is gearing up to take these new designs to market, but first... we had to do a photo shoot! We knew this would be a fun day, because prep work included buying fiesta related items and preparing for a major sugar overload. The photos turned out GREAT, and I wanted to share them with everyone. They are available NOW online (www.shopelysian.com) and in-stores at Elysian Boutique. Don't wait though...there is a limited quantity available on this exclusive preview round!

iPhone Faves:I get it from my Mama :)THE PRINCESS PARTY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!! I planned this party with my buddies a few weeks back after another fun hangout at their house, and they let us takeover their casa with princess details and glitter (oops, sorry Zack!). To my surprise, my Fairy Godmother showed up all the way from North Carolina for the party (and the weekend)! I got off work early on Friday, and walked into the condo to find that my husband and my mom had teamed up to surprise me... and boy was I surprised! And maybe I cried a little.
Fast forward to the party: ALL the adults and kids were in on the fun. I was afraid my mom wouldn't have anything to wear, but luckily she planned ahead and packed a surprise costume. She was the Fairy Godmother, who the girls LOVED-- they took turns wearing her crown and pointing her wand around the room saying "bippity boppity boom". The guys were the best sports-- Delyn wore a Prince Charming costume I bought on Amazon, and once I found out that Zack was down to play along I started making a Prince costume for him as well. It actually looked a little more "western rodeo" than Prince at first, but it turned out awesome! Delyn even made the crowns :) We started the party off with some crown decorating for the girls, had a photo shoot outside, blew bubbles, opened presents (handmade cards and a beaded pipe cleaner necklace, ALL wrapped in homemade wrapping paper by the sweetest little hands), and laughed. We surprised the girls with a Princess Castle made out of cardboard, and I'm pretty sure that Becca and I were even more excited than the girls! They played puppet shows and Rapunzel, and to my surprise it lasted the whole night without breaking... major win!! We ended the night on the couch watching Cinderella with the whole crew-- I sat on the couch with my husband and friends to my left, my mom to my right and a bunch of little cuddlers in between. Even Avie stayed up to party with us!! All in all it was a GREAT night, and the perfect start to the most wonderful birthday weekend. Twenty-Eight is off to the best start yet, and I have to thank my sweet husband, my awesome mama, and my great buddies for such a memorable party! Also, another big thank you to all the friends who took time out of their day to send sweet notes and thoughts! |
